Locally and nationally, Chefs With A Mission is an advocate for the hungry, malnourished and displaced. Chefs With A Mission is a group of industry-recognized Chef volunteers and other humanitarians working together to improve the quality and quantity of food consumed by the poor.
Our organization was founded by Chef Ron Kollman. Ron worked on several food service projects with area homeless shelters and human service facilities where the need to better serve the poor and displaced a nutritious meal with greater efficiency became apparent. Further research with these organizations quickly revealed the magnitude of institutional challenges and the need to form an organization capable of addressing these problems effectively. By gathering the resources of our world-class professional chefs and suppliers, we hope to effect change by helping non-profits improve their supply chains, provide training, improved menu planning and demonstrate techniques for better utilization of the donations that these institutions are already gathering.
